Below are a few helpful tips in planting crossbreed rice:

Hybrid rice stalk

Seed and Seedbed preparation - for every single 2kg of seeds, prepare yourself 40 m2 seedbed. Each bed have to be about 1m wide, of just about any length, and raised to the height of 4 to 5 cm. Soak the seeds for approximately 12 to 24 hours with clean water until the seeds have swelled. Some seeds will move. Do not remove them. Change the water every 5 to 6 hours. Then drain the water along with incubate them for 24 for you to 36 hours until a white dot comes right out of the seeds. After preparing the seedbed, apply 1 to at least one. 5 bags of organic materials for every single 40 m2 seedbed. Once the actual seedbed is prepared, sow 20 kg of pre-germinated hybrid seeds at a rate of 50g for every square meter.


This procedure only requires 20 kg of hybrid rice seeds per hectare. Transplant 21 to 25 day-old seedlings at one to two seedings/hill. Plant at a mileage of 20 cm x 20 cm throughout wet season. Replant missing hills within one week after transplanting.


maintain soil saturation within one week after transplanting. Gradually raise the water level to about two to three cm at tillering stage. Afterwards, achieve 3 to 5 cm mineral water depth every irrigation time until one to two weeks before harvest. Drain standing water(if any) one week before the expected harvest pertaining to easy harvesting and grain excellent preservation.

Fertilizer application

pertaining to basal, apply 4 to 6 bags of 14-14-14 with regards to the results of soil analysis or minus one element technique. If K is deficient in a sandy loam soil, apply fifty percent bag of muriate of potash (0-0-60) from panicle initiation. Harvest the crop when 80 to 85% of the grains are clear, firm and straw-colored even when the rest are still with hard dough stage.
